[ The Lunar Depository ]

RP can be found here. You wake up in a dark room. You are completely unsure of where you are. Everything feels tired, or worn down, or simply just... sore. When you look down at your body, it might give you an explanation. Where you used to see arms and legs are now claws or paws and strange limbs. It appears as if you've become a Pokemon. Even in the dim light, you can tell that everything looks and feels so different. However, another thing that is different that you start to come to the realization that it is not just that you can't remember how you got into the room. You cannot remember any of your memories at all, other than your name and that you were a human before. That's... strange. A small light turns on overhead, and shines down at an envelope on the floor. Out of curiosity, you walk up to it, and peel it open. Inside is a letter that appears to be addressed to you.

Open The Letter!

Hello There! If you are reading this message, you are a Wild Pokemon that has been recruited to join the Lunar Depository. If you are not, this letter should have disintegrated. Luckily, if you've gotten this far, it has not. The Lunar Depository is a top secret organization with one objective- we are attempting to put a stop to a strange lunar disease. This disease, more well known as the "Lunar Plague" by rumors, is a disease that seems to cause Pokemon to go, well, crazy. If you were recruited, it means you were tested and have an immunity. Congratulations. There is a small disc encased that should warp you to the entrance of the Lunar Depository so long as you press it against your paw, or fin, or... well, depending on the Pokemon you are, simply the appendix that you would use to touch anything else. Perhaps what you used to open up the envelope, yes? We apologize for such late notice, and not for informing you before. Your memories have been wiped for the purpose of not spreading any information to any loved ones. Eventually, perhaps we can give it back to you. Thank you for taking your time to read through this letter. We hope to see you at the Lunar Depository! - Elizabeth - - Owner and Head Researcher of the Lunar Depository - P.S. You will be allowed to choose from an occupation upon arriving. P.P.S. Do you not want to join the Lunar Depository? That's a shame, as you're going to remain in this room regardless. It is in your best interest to use the disk to make your way here, yes? P.P.P.S. Sorry!
The confusing letter doesn't seem to help anything. You are still just as confused as ever, but... it is certain that you must make your way there. You press against the disk, and the world seems to spin. Your entire mind goes into a haze. The spinning seems to last for several moments, until... The world stops spinning. You look forward. The Lunar Depository awaits in front of you. What are you waiting for?

General Rules

1. All PFQ Rules Apply 2. Please be respectful about the RP! Don't be rude to other members if something doesn't go your way. 3. Keep any OOC comments in this thread as to prevent spam in the actual RP, please. 4. Use at least three sentences per response. This RP will remain semi-lit. You are free to use more if you wish, of course. 5. Use the form when signing up, please. I need to make sure that everyone is getting everything in that is needed. There are three parts to the password total, and you must include them all in your post.
The first part of the password is your favorite Pokemon!
In order to find the password, you are going to want to hover over everything! At least, do this until you find both parts. 6. Romance and Gore are fine, but please just don't take it too far! This isn't in the 15+ thread, after all. It's for all ages. 7. No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stus. Nobody's character is perfect- give them some weaknesses and flaws. It all makes it so that your character is even better. 8. No god-modding! A friendly reminder that it is completely unfair to others if every single attack you have hits in a battle. Make things fair. 9. Remember to have fun! :) More rules may be added in the future if needed.

Plot

Your character was, of course, originally a human. However, things change. They have awoken with no memories, and have been given a letter saying they are allowed to come to the Lunar Depository. Upon getting there, you will be allowed to choose from a few occupations. After selecting an occupation, you will be sent to research or test. However, despite someone saying that everyone in the lab is immune... things aren't just true. Pokemon with the Lunar Plague are starting to appear. Workers, at that. Tension is building among the Lunar Depository as the meteor outside of the depository in the ground seems to be generating even stronger versions of the Plague. It is up to your character to find out exactly what is going on here. Find the cure, and stop the Plague before it is too late.

Lunar Plague

As you heard before, the Lunar Plague is a disease that can be contracted from the air.
The second part of the password is your favorite food!
It is a Plague that seems to be originating from the Lunar Stone that is next to the Depository. While it is true that most of the workers are immune to it, some are not. Please see 'Character Creation Rules' for more on this. The Plague has a few different stages of action on the user. If your character contracts the disease, you will be let know of this. RP out the stages accordingly. (Contracting it is still rather rare, but do keep in mind that it may happen.) Stage 1 - New Moon The 'New Moon' stage seems to just show the subject losing some of their recent memories. They may begin to question the world around them, and question some of the things others are saying as well. Stage 2 - Morphisis The 'Morphisis' stage shows the Pokemon contracting the plague as growing small pink veins under their fur, and in places that are very hard to see. This is a rather easy indicator of the plague. Behaviour-wise, the Pokemon has began to grow more aggressive, and starts to lash out at random. This may be like or not like the Pokemon's original personality. Stage 3 - The Taken "The Taken" is the most well-known stage to all members of the Observatory. Pink runes have begun to cover the entire body of the Pokemon that is inflicted. Their eyes have turned a glowing pink. The Pokemon no longer have a connection to themselves. They seem to be able to get a grip on life every once in a while, but aside from this they are very agressive and will attack nearly anyone they did not know before on sight. Stage 4 - The Gone These Pokemon have been entirley covered by pink runes. Some patches of fur or scales have began to fall out. Multiple eyes cover their head and arms, and they all glow bright pink. They grow much longer claws or appendages. They are completely agressive and feral. Even if you knew them before, they will not have any connection to you at all. They have gained psychic powers (or increased psychic powers, if they originally had them) after become one of The Gone. Avoid these Pokemon at all cost.

Occupation Information

Upon entering the Lunar Depository, the Pokemon at the front desk will slide you a file with a bit of information on who you were before. As well as this, you will be given a choice between a couple of occupations for your OCs. A list of some of them are here. However, you might notice that you are offered an occupation that does not fit under any of these categories. This is a new occupation that has not been distributed yet. You are not forced to choose it, but it may be advised from time to time. Plague Researcher Perhaps the most common occupation occupation at the Lunar Depository, the Plague Researchers are those who study the "Lunar Plague's effect on other people. They group together information. Think of them as researchers who cover all fields. Occupation Leader: Elizabeth Plant Researcher These Pokemon are the ones who are studying how plants are affected by the Lunar Plague. Often, these people are close in contact with the Lunar Stone around the "Research Grounds." They also study around the Ieri Forest to see how and if the effects differ for the Pokemon living in there. Occupation Leader: Lillian Lee Waterway Researcher These Pokemon are those who attempt to see what effect the Runic Meteor has on the Arinari Lake that is rather nearby. Many of the Water Types that live in the lake have been inflicted with the Lunar Plague, and so the few that do lead this expedition are most likely vital to finding the cure. Occupation Leader: N/A Plague Control These people are something like the police of the Lunar Depository. They make sure that those inflicted with The Plague stay where they should, and make sure they do not escape. If anyone were to escape under their care, they would be fired from their spot. Occupation Leader: Deon Constellation Researcher These Pokemon are those who spend most of their time in the upper half of the observatory. They are always trying to find out what caused the Lunar Plague in the first place in hopes of creating a cure. Occupation Leader: N/A Confidentiality Control Confidentiality Control is a step up from the Plague Control. These people act as 'detectives' to make sure that nobody knows about the Lunar Depository, or the Lunar Plague itself. Anyone who spills the information to anyone else, including Pokemon living in the Anari Lake (who are somehow unaware of the disease) are studied and eventually reported to Elizabeth. It is unknown as of right now what happens to these Pokemon, although most believe that they are Exiled. They can also double as detectives for anything regarding information leaks, any employees getting The Lunar Plague, or if some kind of strange mystery would be to go down. The members of this Category are very intelligent for this reason. The Confidentiality Control is not to be confused with the Plague Control. Occupation Leader: N/A Scientist These Pokemon are the ones who keep cures coming out, and compile all of the research in an attempt to create the cure itself. Researchers send in information and samples, and Scientists are the ones to process it and attempt to create the cures. They have a large laboratory area that they can work in inside of the Lunar Observatory. Occupation Leader: Hilda Medic Medics are Pokemon that go face-to-face with Pokemon that have the Lunar Plague to attempt and test cures. They take whatever the Scientists can brew up and take it to those who are inflicted with the Lunar Plague. The Medics are all Pokemon who know several interesting secrets about the Lunar Depository, and have a direct line of communication to Elizabeth. They are forced to keep information regarding where these Pokemon are kept secret. Occupation Leader: N/A Keeper Keepers are a very mysterious and strange grouping of Pokemon, even more so than the Confidentiality Control. These Pokemon seem to have a secret purpose. Nova is not allowed to explain this profession, and upon attempt you will be denied. They are Pokemon responsible for [??????? ??? ???????? ???? ??? ?????? ????? ????????]. If you choose this occupation, you will be PMed with very specific information on the plot that you cannot really spoil to other members. There will also most likely be a hidden side-RP for this category as well. Keep this in mind. Occupation Leader: [?????????] Occupation Leader If you have been given the opportunity for this occupation, you clearly had some kind of lovely thing going on back in the human world, as this means that you can pick a category that does not have a leader and you will be the head of research or observation under that category. The Occupation Leaders are expected to be active around the Lunar Depository. Exiled Exiled is not a position you can obtain normally. If you have been Exiled, you are forced to roam the Research Grounds. This position can be given if you attempt to undermine research or manage to allow anyone with the Lunar Plague to escape the Depository. These people are sometimes hostile, and should not be interacted with.

QnA

Q: How can a Pokemon use the room key if they do not have hands? A: The room key is similar to a card, and be slid in and taken out by using one's jaw. The door slides open rather than pushes itself open, and for this reason it is able to be used by all Pokemon.

[ Locations Information ]

You might notice that the Lunar Depository may seem to have several locations. All of the currently charted locations will be listed here.

Locations

The Lunar Observatory The Lunar Observatory is almost definetly the most well known location among researchers. It is where all lab equipment is stored, and there are several different rooms for research as well. On the second floor, there is an observatory for the Constellation Researchers to look up at the stars. At the front of the Lunar Observatory, there is a desk. The Pokemon sitting there will inform you on anything that you need to know, as well as give you your choice of Occupations. !! IMPORTANT NOTE !! This is where you go when you begin. Do not go anywhere other than the front office of the Lunar Observatory upon beginning.
The third and final part of the password is Fallen. Separate all parts of the Password with commas.
The Rune Hotel The Rune Hotel is a building for the living of any employees that are currently working at The Lunar Depository (aside from The Exiled.) The first floor is the lobby of the Hotel where you can get your room. Also on the first floor is the recreation room where researchers can hang out whenever they are done with their work. On the second and third floors, you can go to the different rooms where Pokemon can rest. They are shared by 3 different Pokemon at a time so that they can share research and bond. It is essential to the facility that some people have connections, according to Elizabeth. If you ask her, she doesn't seem to want to tell why this is. The Rune Hotel is currently attatched to the end of the hallway at the Lunar Observatory.

Vacancies in the Rune Hotel

Section 1 Room 100 Elizabeth Room 101 Dahlia Deon Sochi Room 102 Kiki Ken Hyde Room 103 Themis Orpheus Lillian Lee Section 2 Room 201 Soule Purple Terra Room 202 Koko Kamon Iris Room 203 Scarlet Vancou Mar-Mar Section 3 Room 301 Kaji Ban Diana Ebony Room 302 Hilda Ariel - Room 303 - - - More sections TBA as more characters are created!
The Runic Meteor What started the entire Lunar Plague. The Runic Meteor is stationed directly in the middle of the Research Grounds. It is a huge grey stone that has runes running all the way up the side of it, and tunnels dug around it where researchers attempt to get samples from the soil. However, those researchers seem to, for some reason, always be the ones that contract the Lunar Plague... The Research Grounds The Research Grounds are a large field that is covered in tall grass. Many of the Plant Researchers come here to grab samples from around the Runic Meteor. The Exiled also live here in the tall grass. Be cautious when approaching it. Ieri Forest The Ieri Forest is a very thick woodlands area. It is located quite far from the Runic Meteor. However, many of the Pokemon in this forest have been inflicted with the Lunar Plague. It is another key point of research for Plant Researchers. Ariani Lake & Ariani River The Ariani Lake and Ariani River, or more well known as the Ariani Waterway, is a large area where wild Water Types roam. Unfortunatley, however, the Lunar Plague seems toe be starting to affect the creatures that live in the water. Similar to the Ieri Forest, it is a rather dangerous area. It is a key point of research for the Waterway Researchers. Lunar Road & Runic Road The Lunar Road and Runic Road are both pathways that the researchers and control at the Lunar Depository use to get from place to place. There is a large electric fence surrounding it that prevents other wild Pokemon from attacking or threatening them. However, there are a few locked doors that an undiscovered occupation can open to make sure that none of the Wild Pokemon are spreading the information about the Lunar Plague. More locations will be added upon being discovered.

Map

Thank you to RenCringe for creating the map! All of the locations seen here (and possibly more) will be added in the future if they are not in the RP already.

[ Character Information ]

After reading through the massive text wall, are you still interested in signing up? Great! Just simply read all of the hideboxes below and we'll get you started. Of course, most of this information was put somewhere else in the thread, but it is probably nice for you to see it all right here.

Character Rules

1. All PFQ Rules Apply. 2. You may have up to 2 characters for now. More slots may be added in the future if we end up getting a lot of members. 3. When creating a character, use a form. This was stated before, but your character will not be accepted if the form (with coding) is not used. 4. The Password is not optional. 5. When creating a Pokemon, you may do any PFQ variations, fusions, retypes, or anything along the lines of this. Legendaries are fine, but keep in mind that they will be no stronger than any of the other Pokemon. You are also allowed to create your own variations and throw them in, such as Tron, Demon, Galaxy, ect. tl;dr, you can do anything as long as you keep in mind that they aren't any stronger than the other Pokemon in RP. 6. LGBTQ+ characters will always be accepted here. 7. As stated in general rules, don't make any characters that are perfect! Everyone needs a flaw or two. 8. These characters must be Pokemon! Please keep this in mind! They cannot be trainers, as they have reverted into Pokemon after being recruited for work at the Lunar Depository. More rules may be added if they either are needed, or I remember to include them! :)

Additional Character Information

The Lunar Plague Upon creating a character, a d20 will be rolled to see if your character is susceptable The Lunar Plague. If you roll a 1 or a 2, you will be susceptable to the disease. However, if you roll any other number, you will be completely immune. NPCs NPCs are characters that simply either help move the story along or help you to get things like your occupation. You are not allowed to make an NPC without permission. Sorry! NPCs will always be operated by tøxtricity.

Elizabeth

Lunar Depository Identification Files Name: Elizabeth Gender: Female Pronouns: She/her Sexuality: Biromantic Occupation: Owner and Head of Research at the Lunar Depository Species: Suicune/Articuno Level: 53 Moveset: - Calm Mind - Hydro Pump - Blizzard - Sky Attack Nature: Gentle Characteristic: Often lost in thought Held Item: Snow Jewel Likes: Indoors, The Cold, Researching, Hot Cocoa Dislikes: Dishonesty, Disrespect, Summer, Anything that could get her Unclean Fears: She has a very harsh fear of humans and contracting the Lunar Plague. Personality: Elizabeth is a rather mysterious character, but when she is seen by others she is usually very kind. She often gives general advice to others, and is always willing to help others with their needs. Others have described her voice as "enchanting."

Appearence

She looks just like this, aside from the fact that she also wears a long navy-blue cloak.
Password: - Other: She was actually the creator of the Lunar Depository's Research Center, and has never been a human before. Using the powers that she had been granted by Arceus, she was able to bring them here. Attempting to ask her how she got these powers and how she brought them to the Depository will always result in a subject change.

Nova (NPC)

Lunar Depository Identification Files Name: Nova Gender: Male Pronouns: He/him Sexuality: Asexual Occupation: Secretary of the Lunar Depository Species: Scolipede (Galaxy Variation) Level: 31 Likes: Sleep, Food, and Relaxing Dislikes: Other Pokemon, Existing Fears: He has a huge fear of Bug Types, despite being one himself. Personality: Nova is extremely grumpy and most likely to ignore you if you aren't asking him for your ID files. He does not like small-talk, and cuts right down to what is going on. Do not expect him to be nice.

Appearence

Other: He is the NPC that assigns you your Occupation. Talk to him upon entering the Lunar Observatory the second you arrive.
Note: Do not use Elizabeth's form as a great example. Her level and the fact she has an occupation listed is over Level 40 is not usual. Also, her backstory states her as clearly being overpowered. She is almost an NPC, and will not be encountered often, hence why it is this way. Elizabeth is likely to never encounter a battle. Another Note: Please do not use Nova's form as an example. He is an NPC, and so for this reason he does not have all of the information that a normal Pokemon in this RP would. And with that, we are now open for new members!

She enjoys the rush of watching a battle, and enjoys it even more when the battle is won by strategies, especially strategies she came up with. She also loves debates, and having irrefutable facts and logic on her side. If the facts and logic are against her side, she digs a little deeper, and if she can‘t find anything to support her case, she completely switches to the other side of the argument. She’s a little like an unusual lawyer. She gets extremely excited and riled up during strategic battles or debates, and giggles and talks to herself when coming up with strategies or arguments. She hates when people play dirty, as that destroys the thrill for her. She sometimes joins the battle herself when this happens. She has little to no self control at times when she is mad, and no filter in ordinary life. Appearance:

Looks good! You're approved. It would be appreciated if you could edit out your password! Your character was rolled, and... Dahlia is immune to the Lunar Plague! She'll be added to the listings shortly! After a couple more people make characters, I'll start up the RP.
