Regarding Sprite Use (IMPORTANT)

Hello everyone!
It has come to our attention that there have been a number of people who have been using Kalos sprites from pokemonstadium.com. HOWEVER, these sprites do not belong to pokemonstadium but were in fact created for the Smogon Pixel Project, as stated here. These sprites are are not free to use. This means that you are not allowed to use or edit these sprites without permission nor are you allowed to charge a fee for using the sprites, should you be given permission to use them.

It appears that a number of users have been using these sprites and have not been aware of the terms of use for these sprites. However, using these sprites without proper credit is art theft.
Failure to properly credit sprites may result in art thread lock, deletion or even a temporary lock for art theft. A large amount of art theft may even result in an indefinitely lock on your account.

I should also add that this also applies to PFQ sprites as well. Our staff created the Kalos and exclusive sprites on site so you must request permission here.
If you have made sprites for yourself or others
Please remove any Kalos sprite and ask anyone you may have made sprites for to do the same. Once the sprites have been removed, you can contact the original sprites to request permission to use their work. If permission is granted, you may then repost your work with proper credit.
If someone has made a sprite for you
Please credit the person who made the sprite and link their shop or a screenshot of permission to use their work. This way we can contact the creator directly rather than asking you for proof of permission to edit the sprite.

just add 'art was made by me' and include a link if it was originally posted elsewhere such as DA, tumblr, etc.
please make sure the art really is yours, no tracing, no editing of someone else's art. 100% yours.

include "official ____ art" somewhere in your credits. be sure to include the copyright holder as well. make sure that it really is official artwork and not fan art!

include who created the image and a link to a screenshot of the written proof of permission. you can even have a list of sources in your signature or journal.

if you can't get permission from the artist (that is, to have proof that the artist has stated "yes, you may use my art"), then you cannot use the image.

you can try to find the artist through tineye but without permission from the artist,the image can't be used.
