Ama couldn't help but notice the new people, choosing for once to keep her nose out other peoples business since... they were no longer her concern, not really, sure she'd grown somewhat attached to them on this cycle but she had to cut the ties, this was the last time she could do this without causing herself irreparable harm, no amount of Cure Materia could heal those injuries... she looked skywards, seeing just the slightest crack in the skyline as the likeness of an egg came to her mind, "Hopefully this is the last shell you'll need to break, I've done what I can here." her eyes momentarily tracked an apparent comet hurtling towards the surface somewhere, detecting just the slightest hint of pink on it, "That'll be someone elses problem, the Zero that follows it won't know what hell it's wreaking upon itself." *I'll give them an hour tops, after that, we move, I don't care if I have to drag them kicking and screaming the entire way.*
Toré concluded his business back in the White Market, returning back to the group in a small blaze to obscure just how he managed to pull that off, it was quite clear that his injuries had not been healed while there, and his immediate falling to all fours showed a complete drain on his energy from both injuries and his hamfisted attempt at using the 'shortcuts' he once had such free access to, "I'm fine, just give me a couple moments to catch my breath."
Celere had been brought right to the precipice of this City, the walls were certainly impressive, she'd have whistled appreciatively if the mere thought of doing so didn't send pain surging through her entire form, the male left immediately after dropping her off, her shaky steps towards the gates were making it perfectly clear her time was about to run out, she could potentially force a few minutes more out of her expired life, but trusting in these people was all she reasonably had left, a familiar figure stepped out of said gates grabbing the hybrid and leading her in, said gates creaking ever so slightly shut behind the pair, her vision had gone dark around the edges, and then, suddenly... nothing, nothing in her senses at all, just... the dark.
((Sorry. Online games are really annoying at times.))
"Looks like he's only just arrived," Aislin mused, watching the blond male make a beeline towards them. "Seems a little confused and in pain, that's... probably normal for drop ins." Kahlua seemed to have finished just then, for he looked up in confusion. "Hm?" "Nothing important," she replied automatically, and then took a few steps to shorten the distance between the three. "Hello!" She greeted once he was in normal speaking range, "You're new here, correct? Just somehow arrived here without any knowledge of how you did it?" Kahlua groaned and muttered, "Oh toxins..." Aislin ignored him. "Well you're not alone; all of us around here arrived in the same way," she gestured at the clusters of people around them with a broad sweep of her hand. "We banded together to make our way home, one way or another. Currently we're making our way towards a city; you're welcome to join our little group, or just tag along if you don't want to join. Safety in numbers applies around here, I'm afraid." This time she pointed towards the corpses of the monsters for her final line.
Beside her, Kahlua finally chipped in, "Were you going to say your name at any point in time?" Aislin just gave him a slight look of confusion and answered, "Do I need to? I know you can have a conversation with someone without saying a name, I've done it before." Kahlua hissed back, "That's not the point! It's common courtesy to say a name, you know this!" Aislin bristled, but answered evenly, "That only applies in worlds where there aren't species and magic that can do mischief and hexes by just knowing your name. From what I've seen on this world, magic can do the same thing; I don't want to get in more trouble straight away after we just got done with this one." A smaller gesture towards the battlefield this time, but the cat only huffed in answer, unable to refute her (slightly twisted in his opinion) logic.
*Just considered how far away Lambda was from the others. If he was a speck from Aislin's view, he probably shouldn't have been able to make out anyone's discerning features. Maybe his heritage gives him better eyesight? ^^'*
Just as Lambda got close enough to speak, the brunette walked up and... Pretty much answered every question he was about to ask. When she pointed to the felled monsters, Lambda winced. 'If one of those things had noticed me while I was unconscious...' He shook his head, watching silently as the two bantered with each other, and not really paying attention until the girl's mention of hexes. 'People still believe those old myths?' Well, best to clear the air now. Clearing his throat to get the pair's attention, he said, "My name is Lambda, if it makes you feel any better. Last name's not important." He smiled weakly, trying not to show fear, though it was likely still apparent on his face. "I'm not sure what happened here, or if I even want to know, but If there are more creatures like those around here, it's probably better if I come with you. Especially since I'm sort of defenseless right now." He gestured to the empty hilt on his hip. He was unaware that his powers were gone, but he knew they weren't really combat-oriented, and showing the group he was harmless would, hopefully, make them less wary of him.

Aislin mentally pricked her ears when the male began to speak, silently attaching the name Lambda to his general face. She'd be able to pick him out from a crowd now, just like with anyone else in their group that she had done this mental exercise with. Once he had finished speaking, she gave him a warmer smile than before. "Well met, Lambda. My name is Aislin." Kahlua chipped in briefly with, "I am known as Kahlua, a pleasure to meet you." Aislin picked up where she left off and continued, "Luckily, I think we've managed to kill off a good portion of this area, so this spot here is safe. Can't guarantee beyond that, I'm afraid, but we have enough fighters I don't think we'll be in trouble handling anything left." Kahlua then interrupted, "Ama is looking rather anxious about something." "It's probably time to start walking soon," she answered after looking in that direction, squinting a little against the snow's glare, what little of it there was left in the surroundings outside the force field's former place. "Hmm, more newcomers..." she muttered, spotting three new shapes near the swords woman. When her notepad was brushed against her arm, she absently took it and slotted it into the bag. Once they were all grouped together and walking, she would bring it back out and add to it before handing it to him to read the list she was slowly adding onto as people came and went within the group.
Carleton looks around, thinking, before responding, “I think that I should go and talk with those other people.”
Sagau nods and says “Of course, most of these people here seem to know what they’re doing, it’s not good to stay lost in a new world. Come on, Trix, I suggest we do much the same.”
Both head toward one of the slowly coalescing groups of people, Sagau half-consciously stepping at a faster rate after seeing one person there was mostly feline, something more familiar to him compared to the rest of the world.
The first thing Caramina registered was the pain. It was a low thrum throughout her entire body, a dull ache that grated on her nerves both literally and figuratively. It seemed like she had been out for a while, then, if it had been long enough for her medication to wear off...
She sat up with a quiet groan, eyes still closed for the moment, and brushed her hair out of her face before rubbing at her eyes and blinking them open. She found herself staring at what was most certainly NOT her own bed where she'd laid down to take a nap earlier. Rather, she was sitting on the cold, damp ground, with moisture seeping into her skirt and dirt colouring her pristine white stockings.
Caramina picked herself up, confused and on edge immediately, and as she brushed herself off to try limit the staining on her nice, strawberry-themed outfit, she took a good look around with impassive green eyes. Kaoru was not here, which hopefully meant she was still safe at home...there were no buildings in sight, no architecture or signs of modern influences...and as she continued to stand and get her bearings, there was the sound of distant voices.
She perked up a little when she heard the voices, immediately spinning on her heel and marching towards them, very much out of place as a short, redheaded girl in a frilly skirt, emerging out of the cold wastelands.
The closer she got, the stranger things became.
The people here were...not human, as far as she could tell. Very clearly, some had animal appendages, some looked downright demonic, and some were just a little off. But Caramina was freezing and lost and bewildered, so she approached anyhow and tried to make sense of whatever carnage had been wrought here.
"Hey!" she called out as she got near enough for her quiet voice to reach the small group gathered in a snowy circle.
"Do you know where I am?"

Seyr had largely been milling about, checking up on Bora who'd been rather quiet and unmoving since his passing out against Seth, the big lug had taken quite the punishment stalling for time, they'd done just enough for things to work out, she quietly made a mental note to get the man a stiff drink at the next place they hit up, the kitsune finally took the time to really look around, not just glance and take a headcount, just to really actively look at the warzone they were standing in, "What a mess, at least everyone seems to be alright after this." she noticed one person missing and scowled at the thought, there wasn't a body so she assumed that Celere would pop back up at some point, her hearing picked up a quiet voice that she turned in the direction of, "Hey! Another offworlder like all of us? Come take a seat I'll try and fill you best in I can on what's going on in this crazy world of ours."
Toré had caught his breath rather quickly, though the pain the magic burns were putting him through was starting to catch up, he could feel his soul hadn't been damaged from it, just his physical body so that was nice at least, his senses drifted over to Mizuki's soul, in the body but disconnected from everything, "I suggest you follow, one thing to do and then we'll probably get moving after she wakes up." hobbling over to where the Rikazu's soul emanated, he knelt down a short distance away, working his abilities to reattach the threads that a body needed to use the soul it innately held, to walk, talk and all of that, once done, the kneel turned into a sitting position, eyes closed despite his sight having been robbed, he needed to take the time to at least try and restore that while he had time to do so.
Caramina stared at Seyr for a bit, gaze stony and expression impassive, but then she nodded curtly and made her way over.
She knelt down in front of her, examining her carefully now that she was closer, and then extending a hand wordlessly with a stern sort of expression on her face.
"Hello. My name is Caramina. You may not call me by any nicknames. Who are you and where are we? What is it you man by 'offworlder'?"
She spoke in a dry tone, devoid of much emotion, sounding somewhat robotic as she got her questions out of the way and waited for an answer and a handshake. Handshakes were polite greetings, right? That was an okay thing to do upon meeting a stranger?
She wasn't entirely sure, but she had committed to it now.
If only Kaoru were here. She was better with people.
Seyr sat on the snow, taking the hand offered and shaking it, "Seyr, alright I'll try and explain this as concisely as possible, we are on a planet referred to as Gaia Zero, what I mean by offworlder is exactly that, someone not from this world, every single other person here is the same in that regard, not from this world." her hand removed from this Caramina individuals, the Kitsune sighed, "No idea why we're here or how any of us were picked for it, this world just decided to grab people and bring them here, the reason is probably unique to each person, we'll just have to figure that out as we go, you're welcome to join this burgeoning group, as you can probably see... we're quite diverse over here and safety in numbers so to speak."
Caramina looked thoughtful, in a bland sort of way. She wasn't very good at being expressive.
After a little bit, her hands now folded in her lap and her legs and feet quite soaked from the snow, she nodded curtly in reply.
"Alright, then. I would like to join you. I will do my utmost to be a productive and useful member of the group. I can hunt and fight, I was good at foraging on my home planet - although I do not know how useful that will be here - and I am adept at first aid."
She looked around some more, brow furrowing slightly. The cold was good for her aching skin, but she still worried about hypothermia and frostbite, especially with some of the group members seeming exhausted and injured.
"May I ask what happened here? And if there is any shelter, outer layers of clothing, or heat sources available? I am alright for now, but I assume nighttime will be much colder. And I may be able to help patch up some of these...injuries, if I can procure supplies. Someplace less...cold...would be a boon for all of our survival."
