You decide to ignore the bag. Maybe it's a trap or maybe it's torn and unusable, and therefore discarded. You turn left down the road and continue your journey. The sun is high in the sky now as you continue your journey to the king's castle. You come across a beggar asking for money, so you give her four pieces of gold. She thanks you over and over as you pass her by. You hear the clopping of horses a few minutes later and glance behind you before quickly moving to the side of the road. The carriage stops just ahead of you and an older man opens the door, glancing out at you. You haven't seen him before, and the carriage is not marked as one of the king's. He asks where you are going, so you tell him the truth. He offers you a ride until the next road, which would take almost an hour to walk by yourself, but you aren't sure whether to trust this man or not. Do you accept his offer? Take a ride in the carriage Refuse and keep walking

You approach the young man and ask him if he has a gift for the king. He tells you he does but doesn't say what it is, even after you ask him. When another shady-looking young man approaches the two of you, you see that this man gives the first a small drinking cup. You're wondering what's going on as you watch the first man pull a flask out from under his robe and pour it into the cup. When he realizes you're watching him, he hands the cup to the second man and pushes you away, telling you to mind your own business. You walk away and go stand with the other people. You turn your gaze as the king and two guards approach the small group of people gathered together to present their gifts to him. The two young men walk over and join the group. The king happily accepts gift after gift, turning to the two young men, who present him with the cup you saw them pour, calling it their village's best rum. He thanks them and drinks it. As the king turns to you, you hand him your gift of a small, handmade doll that looks like a little king. He thanks you and clasps your hands in his before making a gurgle sound and fainting. The guards that walked out with him yell orders immediately and take you into custody, the young men mysteriously having vanished. The guards search you, pulling a flask from your body. It's the same flask the young men used to pour the drink in the cup. You sit in jail for several hours until a guard comes and proclaims to you that the king died by poison and that they linked it to the flask they found on your body. Even though you protest that you did not do it, the guard will not listen to any of it. You are imprisoned until the next day and EXECUTED for the crime of killing the king.
You turn down the right road and walk up to the bag. It's a small leather satchel that looks like it fell off a carriage. You pick it up and look inside, finding 50 gold coins. You look up and down the road to see if anyone is nearby and perhaps lost it. The road is deserted. You shrug it off and put the small bag inside your larger one before turning back down the road and heading towards the castle. The sun is high in the sky now as you continue your journey to the king's castle. You come across a beggar asking for money, so you give her four pieces of gold. She thanks you over and over as you pass her by. You hear the clopping of horses a few minutes later and glance behind you before quickly moving to the side of the road. You walk up to the edge of the forest and grab a fallen branch that would do well as a torch. You break some twigs off of it before pulling a cloth strip, a bottle of flammable liquid, and spark rocks out of your bag. You wrap the cloth around the torch and tie it off so it stays on the branch. Once you pour some flammable liquid over the cloth, you scrape the spark rocks together and quickly pick up your lit torch. You put the bottle and rocks back in your bag and stand up before heading on into the forest. You walk for another hour or so until you hear your stomach growl. You decide to set up camp and eat some of the food you brought with you. You put out your torch in the dirt before looking around for a place to sleep. You find a nice log to rest against as you watch the fire die down. After a while, you find yourself drifting off to sleep. In the morning, you wake up well rested. You stand up and stretch before eating a bit of food. You continue your journey to the king's castle without much happening. The sun is high in the sky by the time you reach the gates. The guards have you identify yourself and your purpose before giving you the customary warning to follow the law or you will be jailed. They let you pass into the courtyard with instructions to wait nearby until the king and his quarry arrive for the receiving of gifts. While you wait, you notice a shady young man standing behind a statue. He looks like he's waiting for someone or something. You notice he is keeping his hand under his cloak. Do you approach the man? Approach him Stay where you are but keep an eye on him
You decide that you're too tired to play detective. You head to the nearby inn and turn in for the night. In the morning, you start on your journey back HOME.
You decide to set up camp and eat. Just after you finish eating, you make yourself comfortable near the small, dying fire and close your eyes. You hear a noise nearby, a soft rustling of leaves. You quickly open your eyes and lift your head, looking around in the dark, the only light coming from the cinders a few feet in front of you. "Who's there?" you call into the darkness. A man steps closer to the light as you squint your eyes to see him. He's holding an outstretched bow, aimed at you. He says if you give him money, he will leave you alone. You very slowly reach into your bag, pulling out the small satchel of gold you found earlier. You toss it towards him, hearing more than seeing it hit the ground near his feet. You hear his bowstring relax, waiting with baited breath as you hear him pick up the satchel and shuffle its contents, gold coin clinking on gold coin. Without a word, he runs off into the dark. Left a bit scared, you have to decide to rest, stay up and start the fire again, or pick your things up and carry on into the forest. Get some sleep Stay up and get the fire going again Head into the forest
Extremely flattered, you accept the young man's proposal, watching him rise back to his feet and kiss your hands. He tells one of the guards to go fetch him a ring. When the guard returns, the new king slides the ring onto your finger and pronounces you the soon-to-be queen. The assassins are executed the next day, and you get MARRIED to the new king that day after that.
You accept the kind old man's offer and approach the carriage, smiling a little as the man offers his hand to help you in. You sit across from him, facing towards the back of the carriage. You both sit in silence for a while, trying to avoid eye contact as he seems to be scrutinizing you. He makes a bit of small talk, asking you where you're from and about where you're going and why. You politely answer his questions as you look out the window on the door of the carriage. You feel a little awkward, but not too uncomfortable. The man is obviously some sort of noble, but he didn't quite look like the charitable type. Perhaps you're thinking too hard about it or perhaps he intimidates you. At any rate, his coachman brings the horses to a stop at the next crossing and the old man offers his hand to let you out. You politely thank the old nobleman and take a few steps back before watching the carriage continue down the road. You've certainly saved some time, and you head off down the other road, still on your journey to the king's castle. As the sun starts to set in the sky, you see that ahead of you is a forest. You know your way well enough, but you also know that the forest isn't very safe in the dark. You have items in your bag that can help you make a torch, but you're also starting to get hungry. Do you decide to set up camp and eat, or do you make yourself a torch and continue into the forest? Set up camp Continue into the forest
