Time for an update!
We have finalised the process that we are intending on utilising - you can use it but we're not considering it "live" just yet to ensure that any bugs or such are ironed out... If there are any. If you have an ongoing contest then please be sure to wrap it up soon as the contests area will be getting wiped to make way for this new manner of contest application on the reset on the 18th. (18th Nov 2018, 00:00:01 server time, for clarification). If you spot anything that we forgot to change / update (etc) then please do let us know! Thank you for your patience regarding this matter, everyone! (quick note. Sally may not have realised that the forum exists just yet due to caching so it may take up to an hour for her to actually display the forum area to you c: )

Hey everyone,
As a result of repeated issues coming about from people running contests / raffles (whether that's type-race related or just ordinary raffles) we are going to be closing off the capability for people to make any threads in those areas at this time. The aim is to let the current running ones run their course (with the hopes that there are no further issues with them) and not shut them down in the middle of operation - we think that would be a bit much and there'd be a lot that would need to be figured out in terms of 'what to do'. This way things stay their course and everything just 'ends' naturally when the ones running now finish. We will be implementing a new system which will incorporate a vetting process for the people who wish to run them. This should avoid the problems that we are having right now. We're not happy that we're having to do this, both on the 'we shouldn't need to do this' side of things and on the 'we don't want to take these things away' side of things as well. We don't want to take these things away but with the number of issues that we've had to deal with... We need to get / make a suitable replacement in terms of thread-creation and witholding those who are not suitable to run these things from being able to do so without locking them out from the entire forum. We have had suggestions of setting an age-limitation but that just didn't seem reasonable. We have had plenty of people "under the age of 18" who have run those contests / raffles just fine. Age is not the issue here. We apologise for the actions taken but we need to take the opportunity and time to figure out this issue. Thank you for your patience on the matter, we'll have everything back up and running as soon as possible. Edit: Please note that re-using the same thread to get around this change could result in us doing what we didn't want to do and deleting everything outright. Please do not make it so that this is the better option when we've specifically gone out of our way to try to avoid doing this. Thank you.
