Multiple issues arise with this pokewalker exclusive evolution 1) Unreliable internet connections can make GPS all but useless, people in areas with poor connections (especially rural areas) will be unable to use the feature accurately. 2) Underage/underpriveleged users may not have access to data/mobile devices outside of their homes 3) Disabled/chronically ill users may be unable to physically traverse the distance needed in any reasonable amount of time. (1000 steps may take one person 5 minutes, another 5 hours, and another 5 days.) If trading is necessary for a good chunk of your userbase to get this dex entry, then you might as well make it a trade based evolution. At least it won't be like punching someone who's already down. That feeling of exclusion hurts a lot, especially when it's because of factors you have no control over. For me, personally, the phone I use isn't functional enough to even log into pokefarm. I can't afford a replacement. It is the only thing I own that has internet connection outside of my house. Even if I had something else, I work full-time on top of being disabled. I myself am barely functional by the time I get home, I sure as heck am not walking nearly a half mile( 1000 steps is ~.4miles/.7km) carrying around an extra device, especially if the gps isn't accurate and extends the distance needed. (my area is all slopes, which makes it so much worse) Since multiple evos isn't feasible, I suggest making it either trade evo, scour evo, or interaction evo. Anything but this accessibility nightmare.
