Aislin had only nodded and fell into step diagonal from Bora, keeping to her thoughts. Mostly trying to figure out finances due to how the group has changed. Whenever they took a rest for the newer members of the group, she mentally worked on the problem while updating her notepad with everyone's names and descriptions, forcing her mind to systematically go over the group at large. It took the remaining two weeks to Karston before she considered the matter settled in her mind: No one really had money. At the moment, the only ones who truly had 'currency' of any kind were herself and Rikazu: Rikazu from having been here so long, and herself from looting the bandits and selling jewelry all those months ago. It was probably a good idea to sell the loot as soon as she could. For the moment, she listened to the playful Yakkity Sax that echoed whenever she tried to picture Seth running around finding all the monsters to send their way and trying not to giggle out loud. She did pay attention when Ama announced that she was leaving and promptly did so, though she left behind a knapsack once the Lifestream fluid vanished. She silently caught Kudret's eye, who nodded and picked up the knapsack to add to his own satchel.
Kudret had his own thinking to do, mostly struggling with how much the group dynamics had changed so far. They had gone from a large group, to a larger group, to suddenly having half the group leave and several more people show up. All that was wreaking havoc on his Leonid instincts, and he could tell Kahlua wasn't having much luck keeping it straight either. Kudret did a quick count again, trying to reassure himself that it hadn't changed within the last day or so. Ama, Celere, Bora, Tore, Seyr, and that unknown girl; Mizuki, Kuja, Rikazu, Lynn, and Iliya; Sagau, Trix, Lambda, Carlton, and... Kudret looked around, searching for Caramina before giving a silent sigh. She must have left during the night at some point, or been transported to the Tower without anyone noticing. He had hoped that Shoya and Maiya would come back before they reached Karston, but it seemed not to be. ...Come to think of it, he could remember conversing with Damia. Did all of them get transported too? He shook his head finally and concluded his mental list with himself, Aislin, and Kahlua. When Ama announced, and promptly did, her departure, Kudret spotted the knapsack and caught Aislin's eye with a silent glance her way. She subtly gestured at her bags, indicating he should take it, not her. He nodded back and picked it up without a word, shouldering it on the side opposite the strap to try and even out his newest balance. It was a good thing he had a tail for this; he didn't want to imagine what it would be like without one.
Kahlua carefully pulled open his pouch to stare at the half-full bottle of bright green liquid sitting in there alongside half a dozen glowing marbles. In the aftermath of the battle, it took some time to realize he had barely tried to use the Materia at all. He felt a little ashamed at that, even though realistically he knew that trying to rely on a set of skills he was only beginning to learn would have been a death sentence for him at that time. To that end, Kahlua had been diligently practicing pulling out the magic, manifesting it, and then either pushing it back in or, if it wouldn't go, releasing it on a harmless target. He certainly wasn't doing it as fast as second nature, but it was certainly a lot faster than when he had started a month ago. He felt the distinct itch within his fingers and sighed, pulling the bottle out and uncorking it. The smell made his lips curl in disgust even as he closed the pouch and chose a smallish rock to sit on, looking back at the group in time to see Ama calling out a halt a little further ahead of them. Kahlua took the few minutes needed for the group to congregate around the human to spread his claws out and begin milking the venom within them. It was a necessary thing to do for his species once the poison fully developed; if not used for a while, the poison would eventually begin to harden within the venom sacs, which would cause all kinds of problems that if left unchecked would result in death. There was a reason orphaned poison cats were actively looked for and adopted by others of the venomous species. Once Kahlua finished, he looked up from putting the three-quarters-full bottle away in time to see Ama vanish into the same liquid she used in the battle and back in the Tower. Just how much control did she have over that stuff anyway? Dismissing the thought, he walked over to Aislin and asked quietly, "What now?" To this, she gave a baffled shrug and said just as quietly, "Find an inn and a clinic, presumably. After that, who knows." ...Well, it's not like he had any better ideas than that.
