I finally got my hands on KH3, I'm not about to post spoliers or anything and honestly I'm only just past the tutorial world. (I spent an hour in game there I swear down.) The game does require proper investment as most JRPG's do but given it's Disney I'm sure there will be a lot of newcomers who will be caught off guard by how much investment is needed. I'm paying serious attention to the mechanics and there's ideas here I'd like to apply to my own work in future. :D I can talk about the camera mode I just unlocked though. Just about every AAA game seems to have a one these days so you can take a pretty picture in game and post it on social media. KH3's isn't too fancy or technical, you can take photos of the environment (and the worlds look amazing in HD) and you can also take photos of yourself and your companions. But what I like is your companions react to you having the camera, they'll pose and even complain if you're taking to long to shoot the photo. It's a small detail but as someone who likes looking into the mechanics of games I absolutely love the fact the developers and artists took the time to put this much character into a rather common mode for games. Who needs fancy filters when I can pose with Goofy and Donald? XD Nah but seriously, I'm really enjoying KH3. I recommend it to anyone who's interested in buying it. It's a gorgeous looking game for one and fighting is made into a fun spectacle with all the new moves you can do. The intro to the game has a basic 'story so far' recap but I'd still recommend looking up a summary on Youtube. (And maybe watching it a few times over until something starts to make sense.) The story isn't really that complicated, it's just messy and something you need to accept without thinking too hard. Basically a fairytale crossed with a superhero story about saving the world from evil, think of it like that. "Everything happens for a reason" logic does not apply to the KH's world.
