Alright, but, can we all agree that the Budew line is totally Cosmo? From Sonic X? Literally her.
Also, though Fakemon, PFQ's Blue Moon Slugma looks so much like Chaos...
Though Chaos would fit as a legendary more, maybe Manaphy?
I'm not very much for the idea of Sandslash being Knuckles, there's probably a fighting/fire Pokemon that would somehow fit him better, right? If any character should be a matching species with Sonic, it should totally be Shadow for obvious reasons. That being said Shadow as Zorua is perfect.

Espeon is literally Blaze though. They both have the red forehead gem.
