Single post in Medieval Travels - An Interactive Story

You walk up to the edge of the forest and grab a fallen branch that would do well as a torch. You break some twigs off of it before pulling a cloth strip, a bottle of flammable liquid, and spark rocks out of your bag. You wrap the cloth around the torch and tie it off so it stays on the branch. Once you pour some flammable liquid over the cloth, you scrape the spark rocks together and quickly pick up your lit torch. You put the bottle and rocks back in your bag and stand up before heading on into the forest. You walk for another hour or so until you hear your stomach growl. You decide to set up camp and eat some of the food you brought with you. You put out your torch in the dirt before looking around for a place to sleep. You find a nice log to rest against as you watch the fire die down. After a while, you find yourself drifting off to sleep. In the morning, you wake up well rested. You stand up and stretch before eating a bit of food. You continue your journey to the king's castle without much happening. The sun is high in the sky by the time you reach the gates. The guards have you identify yourself and your purpose before giving you the customary warning to follow the law or you will be jailed. They let you pass into the courtyard with instructions to wait nearby until the king and his quarry arrive for the receiving of gifts. While you wait, you notice a shady young man standing behind a statue. He looks like he's waiting for someone or something. You notice he is keeping his hand under his cloak. Do you approach the man? Approach him Stay where you are but keep an eye on him
